Leiden University Centre for Digital Humanities
Film Studio
The film studio has facilities to record professional videos for a range of educational and/or research purposes.
Teachers can use the Humanities Hub film studio to record professional videos for a range of educational and/or research purposes. For example, 10-minute knowledge clips/explainers that clarify a specific topic or research study. Knowledge clips allow more efficient use of contact hours and create more time for interaction and in-depth learning during classes. They can also be used to explain and promote an (ongoing) research study. Students may also use the studio, but only in the context of their study programme.
The equipment here is professional-level, including studio lights, autocue, cameras and microphones. You can therefore currently only use this film studio if a camera operator is present to provide professional support. The Humanities Hub provides this support free of charge, on request.
Please contact ECOLe to discuss the options specifically designed for teaching. For research purposes, you should contact the Digital Lab.
