Leiden University Centre for Digital Humanities
AI Lab
The AI Humanities Lab is an innovative space where researchers explore the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and the Humanities.
Focusing on collaborative work, the lab brings together scholars from diverse disciplines to develop and apply AI technologies, and foster innovative research in the Humanities. The main purpose of the AI lab is to serve as a knowledge exchange hub by fostering collaboration, sharing expertise, and facilitating the exchange of ideas. Interested researchers can receive guidance and training in high-performance computing, deep learning, and their applicationto research questions within the Humanities. The AI lab provides access to powerful computing resources, making it an ideal environment for training deep learning models, imageprocessing and high-speed data analysis.
The AI lab at the new Humanities Hub is the first of the new SAILS labs which will be opened in 2024 and Spring 2025. These labs will be available for use for all staff of University Leiden and LUMC which are connected to the SAILS programme.
