Leiden Loves Science
Love of science
Looking for an alternative Valentine's evening? And does your heart beat faster when you hear about scientific discoveries? It sounds like you should come along to the Leiden Loves Science event: it's all about Leiden's love affair with science.
At this free event many Leiden scientists will confess their love affair with science. You may be surprised! Give free rein to your curiosity and join in the discussion about what science in Leiden has to offer.
Mysteries and discoveries
In the National Museum of Antiquities, ancient Egypt, for example, comes alive and world-famous Professors Melissa Little and Christine Mummery will share their stories about how organs like the heart and kidneys can develop from stem cells. Get to know our mystery guest or mystery discovery and talk to your favourite scientist about Nobel Prizewinning topics. Curious about why industry is also in love with science? Young, ‘science-based’ entrpereneurs talk about their passion for science and share their discoveries in a science-meets-business café.
