Welcome to StatiCS: the Statistical Consultation Service. The goal of the service is to provide statistical support to PhD candidates and other researchers.

• providing help in cracking the hard nuts

Who can use StatiCS?

The service is open to all Graduate School of Social and Behavioural Sciences PhD candidates (free of charge) and other staff members of Leiden University.

For which questions?

The questions can concern both methodological and/or statistical issues that can be encountered during the entire research cycle (e.g., choice of method, performance of the analysis, and interpretation). The request form will ask you to provide your substantive research question and your statistical question.

What is the procedure?

Before you fill in the request form, you need to ask approval from your supervisor. Also, make sure you are familiar with the entire procedure.
