For whom?
Leiden University's Pre-University College is for secondary school pupils that are looking for an extra challenge and are curious about science. Prerequisite is that your school is a partner of the Pre-University College.
Is PRE-College something for me?
The Pre-University College is for you if you recognise yourself in the following points:
- you want to get more out of your vwo high school education;
- you are curious about science and university life;
- you have broad interests and like to dive into a variety of topics;
- you want to learn how to conduct research and how to communicate your results to a broader audience;
- you are able to follow an extra programme in addition to your regular school obligations;
- you have a sufficient command of the Dutch language.
Prerequisites
In addition, there are some baseline conditions to join PRE-College Leiden:
- you are in 4 vwo at the time of application;
- your school is affiliated to the Pre-University College
- you have at least an 8.0 average on your report card and you expect to finish the school year with at least an 8.0;

To participate, it is a requirement that your school is a partner of the Pre-University College at Leiden University. You can find out if your school is a partner here.
