About PRE-College

Are you an enthusiastic student who enjoys challenges next to your regular schoolwork? Do you have broad interests and an inquisitive mind? Do you always want to know all the ins and outs and are you not afraid to push your boundaries and go the extra mile? Then the PRE is for you!

PRE-College is specially designed for those students who seek an academic challenge in addition to their vwo high school education and already want to experience what it means to be a student at the university. The programme is therefore intended for students who can do more and also want more. Through guidance from Leiden University and your own school, you will be challenged to discover what you like and you can develop your talents.

PRE-College Leiden

The two-year Pre-University College Leiden is designed specifically for students attending school in Leiden and surrounding areas who seek an academic challenge in addition to their vwo high school education. In Leiden, you will learn how to prepare for a future academic career. You will work on your own research, learn how the university works and experience the workings of the academic world.

PRE-College The Hague

For students attending school in The Hague, we have developed a one-year programme. As a PRE-student, you can learn about the multifaceted, international and multicultural learning environment that the 'Hofstad' has to offer at the Hague branches of Leiden University. Furthermore, you will get involved in a practical way to make the governmental heart of the Netherlands cleaner and more liveable. More information can be found at PRE-College The Hague.
