Leiden Law School
Internationalisation
Globalisation and internationalisation are inextricably linked with Dutch society. Universities operate within an international context where offering international programmes and collaboration with foreign universities is a given. Leiden Law School is no exception.
We have more than 80 collaboration agreements with law faculties across the globe, offering our students and staff exchange opportunities. In turn, we receive students and employees in Leiden through the same agreements. For Criminology, a number of special agreements have been established as this subject is often taught at different faculties abroad.
Leiden Law School also offers 13 master's degree programmes taught in English (regular and Advanced master’s), which attract students from across the world and contribute to the international classroom. This allows students to share a wide range of perspectives and experiences.
The faculty’s international orientation is further enhanced by our participation in and coordination of various international networks, including UNA Europa, LERU and ELFA. Alongside these faculty-wide agreements, our academic staff also maintain many international contacts and networks, resulting in valuable collaboration opportunities and knowledge sharing.
Leiden Law School runs a number of annual summer schools. These programmes provide a unique opportunity for both Dutch and international students to immerse themselves in specific legal topics and learn from leading experts within the field.
