Leiden Law Academy

Leiden Law Academy, formerly JPAO, offers postgraduate law courses and is committed to lifelong development.

We provide continuing education courses and events for legal professionals and alumni of Leiden Law School. Each year, we offer more than 200 accredited training courses and events and welcome more than 2,500 course participants who come to us to sharpen their legal knowledge and skills.

Lifelong development at Leiden Law Academy

In cooperation with Leiden Law School, we offer a top-quality range of courses, webinars and specialist training in almost all areas of the law. Teaching is geared to practice and also provides ample networking opportunities.

Leiden Law Academy is a recognised training institution and accredited by the Netherlands Bar Association, NOvA. In addition to postgraduate continuing education, we organise a wide range of events and conferences.

Unique venue: the Old Observatory

Leiden Law Academy's courses are taught in the historic Old Observatory in Leiden, situated close to the Hortus Botanicus.

This unique location offers course participants an ideal opportunity to not only focus on their training, but also to forge new contacts while relaxing in these beautiful surroundings.

Leiden Law Conference

Every year, Leiden Law Conference organises and facilitates numerous professional events, conferences and symposia, for both national and international participants on behalf of Leiden Law Academy. Leiden Law Conference provides support to Leiden Law School which initiates these events and gatherings of fellow professionals.

These events are open to all and often provide credits for the Netherlands Bar Association (NOvA).
