The Executive Board is responsible for the management and administration of the entire University.

Prof. Annetje Ottow
1st term: 8 February 2021 - 7 February 2025
2nd term: 8 February 2025 - 7 February 2029
Annetje Ottow is responsible for strategy, knowledge transfer, alliances and external relations, international relations, communication, alumni policy, social safety, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability at the university. Annetje Ottow is also the point of contact for campus development in Leiden city centre.

Prof. Hester Bijl

2nd term: 8 February 2025 - 7 February 2029
Hester Bijl is responsible for the teaching and research at the university. Professorial appointments and academic integrity are also part of the teaching portfolio. Hester Bijl is also the point of contact for LERU, Una Europa and the development of the Leiden Bio Science Park.
Vice-chairman
Timo Kos
1st term: 1 March 2025 - 28 February 2029
As Vice President of the Executive Board, Timo Kos is responsible for finances, real estate, ICT and research infrastructure, HRM, and safety and security at the university. He is also the point of contact for Campus The Hague.
