The projects of this pillar investigate how they arise, what possible risk factors are, and how these mechanisms can be influenced for a wide variety of (neuro-)psychological and physical disorders and related behavioral factors. The findings from these projects are then applied in projects aimed at developing new diagnostics and treatments.
