eLaw – Center for Law and Digital Technologies
Ph.D. at eLaw
Scholars passionate about the intersection of law and digital technologies can pursue a Ph.D. in our vibrant research community.
Internal Ph.D. Candidates
Occasionally, we have openings for internal Ph.D. candidates funded directly by eLaw or through national and EU-funded research projects. These positions are tied to specific research initiatives and provide an excellent opportunity to collaborate with our interdisciplinary team on specific research topics. If available, these opportunities are posted on this website.
External Ph.D. Candidates
We sometimes welcome external candidates who have secured funding or scholarships for a Ph.D. in Law and Technology or want to do a PhD alongside a job in government or industry. These candidates can propose their own research topics aligned with eLaw's areas of expertise and benefit from our academic supervision and resources.
Interested candidates are encouraged to review the Faculty of Law's Ph.D. regulations for application guidelines and program requirements. Please visit this website.
Note: sending direct messages to our staff members will not be answered, all applications go via the Faculty programs.
Visiting Ph.D. Students
Our department welcomes visiting scholars, including Ph.D. students, for non-paid research stays of up to three months. If you are interested in applying, please visit this website and follow the outlined process. Due to the high volume of applications, we cannot guarantee acceptance for your stay.
