Meet & Greet with Mayor Krikke
Thursday 6 September mayor Krikke came to Leiden University to have a dialogue with students. Mayor Krikke thinks students bring a special atmosphere to the city of The Hague. They liven things up!
Mayor Krikke tries to connect with the inhabitants of The Hague by making many working visits. That is why she always asks her civil servants who advise her if they have been on the spot themselves. Learning about the life of the inhabitants enables better solutions.
Being the first female mayor of the city of The Hague, Mrs. Krikke is an important role model for a.o. young women. Mayor Krikke advises: "Do not hesitate too long to say yes when you are requested to fulfill a position, just go for it! Even when you think you are not ready for it. You are never ready enough."
