MA Religious Studies

Within the one-year MA Religious Studies you can also focus on Islam. Since September 2015, however, this is no longer a separate specialisation.

PhD programmes

Vacancies for PhD positions at Leiden University can be found on the the University's job vacancy website. If you want to study for a PhD in Leiden, either with a subsidy you have acquired yourself or as an external candidate, you first have to find a professor who is prepared to act as your supervisor. 

LUCIS

LUCIS is an interfaculty knowledge centre and works in close cooperation with several of Leiden University's education departments, but does not offer its own BA or MA-programmes. If you would like to study Middle Eastern or Religious Studies at Leiden University, have a look at the programme websites listed above and contact the corresponding coordinators. Please do not contact LUCIS.
