About the course 'Case Study Syria'

Contemporary conflicts in the Middle East, many stemming from the Arab Spring, have created complex security challenges over the past decade. These irregular conflicts involve intentional security threats and have significant implications at national, regional, and international levels.

This course introduces the study of Middle Eastern conflicts, focusing on dynamics and security issues like terrorism, migration, and international law. Using the Syrian civil war as a case study, students will explore conflict causes, drivers, and effects, applying interdisciplinary methods to understand these conflicts and their broader implications.
