Short CV

Simone Vogelaar completed the research master Developmental Psychology in combination with the master Child and Adolescent Psychology at Leiden University. She then started her PhD, in which she investigated the effects of teaching adolescents about stress in secondary schools.

Research

Simone focuses in her research on stress in teenagers. Simone is particularly interested in the effects of teaching about stress, for example via a psychoeducational course or a VR app about stress.

Scholarships

• 2019 South Holland Education Network (€2385; primary applicant), training for teachers about a psychoeducational course about stress, the Stress Lessons.
• 2019 Education innovation grant (€50.652; in collaboration with Prof. dr. Nadira Saab and dr. Ineke van der Ham): StressLess using Virtual Reality.
