Research Schools
Many researchers of the Faculty of Science are members of a research school related to their area of expertise. Research schools aim at collaboration of researchers from different faculties in the same university (interfaculty schools) or in different universities (interuniversity schools).
Courses
Even though the university Graduate Schools are primarily responsible for the training and supervision of PhD Candidates, interuniversity PhD courses are also offered by the research schools. These courses offer training in both methodology and area specific knowledge. Moreover, they provide PhD candidates with the opportunity to come into contact with fellow PhD candidates from other universities.
