Students make CO2 calculator
Two students from the Leiden-Delft MSc Industrial Ecology programme have made a carbon footprint calculator for the website www.doemaarduurzaam.nl; the website where the Dutch public broadcasting organisations collect everything broadcasted about sustainability. The carbon footprint calculator allows for the online calculation of the personal carbon footprint of Dutch citizens.
The students Gerald Wech and Lilly Linkola follow the Master Industrial Ecology, the joint education programme of Leiden University and Technical University Delft. They were supervised by dr.ir. Gijsbert Korevaar, the program coordinator of the Master Industrial Ecology and CML assistant professor drs. Rene Kleijn. An interview with Gijsbert Korevaar about this carbon footprint calculator can be found at the website of the TUDelft. A Dutch description about CO2 footprints is available.
