Public Transport
The "Witte Singel/Doelencomplex" is a 5- or 10-minute walk from Leiden Central Station. The route is indicated on the map. Alternatively you could take bus 1 from the train station and get off at "Paterstraat", or bus 5 or 6 and get off at "Noordeinde".
The Leiden University Visitor's Centre at Leiden Central Station (follow the signs at the front (city) end of the station) will also be glad to help you out with directions. Public transport planning site.
Car
When you come via the A4 motorway, take exit 7 and follow the signs to "Leiden Centrum". At the end of the "Lammenschansweg" cross the bridge ("Jan van Houtbrug") and go left onto the "Jan van Houtkade". At the end of this street go left, cross the bridge and go right. You are now on the "Witte Singel". For further details, see the map.
If you come via the A44 motorway, take exit 8. Follow the "Plesmanlaan" straight to "morssingel" in the centre. For further details, see the map. Route planner
Parking
On all routes to the university buildings you will find signs to car parks. The most convenient ones are located at the "Haagweg" (€ 4 per day) and the "Maliebaan" (university car park). You can walk from the Haagweg to the University buildings at the Witte Singel in about 10 minutes. If you need to go to the city centre, a free bus will take you there from the Haagweg parking.
