About the Award

LUGO is proud to announce the initiation of the Sustainable Master Thesis Award. 

This award aims to recognise exemplary theses written by Master's students at Leiden University on any topic of sustainability. 

The first edition of this Award will be carried out in the year 2024-2025, for theses submitted in the year 2023-2024. A jury of at least six members, selected annually for their diverse expertise, reviews the shortlisted theses and determines the top five final award recipients based on established criteria.  

Becoming a Jury Member: Role and Sign-Up

We are currently in the process of recruiting the six-member jury for the upcoming SMTA evaluation. Interested professors (full-time, associate or assistant professors) with relevant backgrounds are welcome to apply. Jury members would be expected to dedicate 5 hours in total between the period of November-December 2024 and will receive a gift in recognition of their contributions.
