Sustainable Master Thesis Award

In line with Leiden University's sustainability vision for 2030, the Green Office is taking practical steps to structurally integrate sustainability principles within the pillars of education and research. Central to this effort is the introduction of the Sustainable Master Thesis Award, which strives to encourage students’ research into sustainability by awarding high-quality master's theses written on sustainability topics.

The Award

 
The Sustainable Master Thesis Award aims to enhance the visibility of sustainable education and research while deepening the understanding of global, national, and regional sustainability challenges. This award provides a platform for master's students with a wide range of academic background to showcase the multi- and interdisciplinary nature of sustainability issues. Through this award, we aim to empower students to explore innovative, practically applicable solutions to pressing sustainability problems, thus contributing to the university's broader commitment to sustainability and societal impact.
