Governance of Migration and Diversity (Legal) (LL.M.)

Student Life

Students in the GMD legal programme will be fully integrated in the student life of the overall GMD master's programme offered at Leiden University, Delft University, and Erasmus University Leiden. Acitivities, such as joint dinners, are regularly organised.

Leiden student city

Leiden University has contributed to the city’s unique atmosphere for over 400 years. The city’s historical centre is full of student associations, student accommodation and university buildings.
With its many pubs, cafés, restaurants, theatres and museums, there’s always something to do. Leiden is a winning combination of small and fun, yet big in character as a student city. Thanks to its compact layout, it’s never more than a short bike ride from your accommodation to the University, and you’ll always see someone you know along the way.

The Hague student city

The Hague is the International City of Peace and Justice and it’s home to countless embassies, political institutions and international courts. Leiden University’s The Hague Campus also boasts a distinctly international character. Nearly all our master's programmes there are taught in English, to students who come from all corners of the world. This is useful, to say the least, because it will give you the opportunity to quickly expand your own international network, something you will benefit from for your entire career. For those times when you’ve just finished an exam, for example, or you simply want to relax after a hard day’s studying, The Hague has plenty to offer. For some well-deserved rest and relaxation, in The Hague you’ll have easy access to some 11 kilometres of beaches, almost in your backyard.
