The Kaiser Spring Lectures are about to start!

The program for the Kaiser Spring Lectures 2018 has been published! Visit the Old Observatory in March for four amazing lectures about the Space Age.

This edition will be entirely devoted to the theme "Welcome to the Space Age". Although the era of space travel only started some 60 years ago, it has already made enormous progress in astronomy (think of space telescopes such as Hubble and Kepler) and will also play an increasingly important role in human daily life. We will look back on the rise of space travel in spring Lectures, look at what state-of-the-art space missions (such as landing on a comet) have to offer us in the scientific field, and look ahead to the role of space travel in the future of mankind: from living on Mars to interstellar travel.

We hope to welcome you to the Old Observatory this spring!
