There are two ways to visit us:
- Tuesday-Sunday with a walk-in tour.
- In the weekend as part of a visit to the Hortus Botanicus.
If you have a question about visiting us, you can call us in the weekend between 11:00 and 16:00 on 071-5271891 or send us an email at coordinator@oudesterrewacht.nl.
Because we work with a small team, it can sometimes take a while for us to get back to you. We aim to answer questions within one week.

The address of the main entrance to the Old Observatory is:

The starting point of our exclusive tours is at the first dome at the start of the terrain. You can read more about our tours here.
Parking
We strongly recommend travelling to the Old Observatory by public transport. You cannot park at the Old Observatory itself.
However, if you still wish to come by car, there are several parking lots in Leiden where you can park. You can find an overview of these parking facilities on the website of the Leiden municipality.
