Please note that, due to the corona measures Leiden University is taking, the full programme on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be online. On Sunday the visitors center of the Old Observatory will be reopened!
Ars Electronica Festival is a “Festival for Art, Technology and Society” in Linz to discuss the Digital Revolution and its possible consequences.
This year, because of the Covid-19 issues we are facing, this festival is organised by AE partners around Europe and Leiden Observatory will be part of it by hosting a four-day art-science festival from the 10th until the 13th of September. Moreover, the visitor centre of the Old Observatory will be reopened!

Visitors of the Hortus Botanicus Leiden can enter the visitor center of the Old Observatory freely. Starting at 14:00, you are welcome to join a simulated Moonwalk through the Hortus with astronauts in moonsuits!
