Charlotte Boin is promovendus Governance of Crisis bij het Institute of Security and Global Affairs. Haar promotieonderzoek betreft het adaptatievermogen van gemeenschappen wanneer hun leefomgeving bedreigd wordt door klimaatverandering. Naast haar promotie werkt ze als onderzoeker crisisbeheersing voor het Nederlands Instituut Publieke Veiligheid.
