Arnout Koornneef is universitair docent bij het Instituut Pedagogische Wetenschappen van de Universiteit Leiden. Arnout probeert in zijn onderzoek met behulp van verschillende technieken (reactietijden, monitoren van oogbewegingen) te achterhalen hoe lezers een mentale representatie vormen van de inhoud van een tekst. In zijn huidige onderzoek richt Arnout zich onder andere op de kansen die moderne digitale leesapplicaties bieden om het leesproces te optimaliseren voor beginnende lezers.
Kort cv
Arnout Koornneef is sinds 2014 universitair docent bij de programmagroep Onderwijswetenschappen. Arnout promoveerde aan de Universiteit Utrecht in 2008 met een proefschrift getiteld: Eye-catching Anaphora. Vervolgens werkte hij van 2008-2012 op dezelfde universiteit als docent en onderzoeker bij het Department Moderne Talen en Nederlands. In 2012 was hij een halfjaar werkzaam als 'visiting professor' bij de Unversiteit van Florida (USA).
Onderzoek
Arnout probeert in zijn onderzoek met behulp van verschillende technieken (reactietijden, monitoren van oogbewegingen) te achterhalen hoe lezers een mentale representatie vormen van de inhoud van een tekst.
