Kyra Verboon studies parent-child interaction in children and adolescents who have experienced a traumatic event. In collaboration with GGZ Delfland and others, she studies how specific parental behaviour is related to adolescents' symptoms during and after intensive trauma-focused therapy
Kyra Verboon studies parent-child interaction in children and adolescents who have experienced a traumatic event. In collaboration with GGZ Delfland and others, she studies how specific parental behaviour is related to adolescents' symptoms during and after intensive trauma-focused therapy.
Her PhD research is part of the Zwaartekracht project Communicating networks. As part of this project, Verboon also explores how network models can be deployed and used in clinical practice.
Short CV
Verboon obtained a research master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from Leiden University in 2022. In September 2022, she started her PhD at the Department of Clinical Psychology at Leiden University supervised by Bernet Elzinga, Marie-Louise Kullberg, Anika Bexkens, Bart Verkuil and Peter Muris (Maastricht University).
