Short CV

Dianne Venneker completed a research master Psychology (specialization Cognitive Neuroscience) and a master Education and Child Studies (specialization Applied Neuroscience in Human Development) at Leiden University. In 2019, she started her PhD at the department of Educational Sciences. Dianne also teaches bachelor and master courses, and she is involved in the supervision of thesis projects.

Research

Dianne investigates the cognitive processes that are important for reading comprehension in primary education. She specifically focuses on teaching text comprehension strategies without using text, for example by means of videos.
