Due to the COVID19 crisis (especially the impossibility to meet in person), the course "Foundations of Research-2" could not take place as scheduled. However, a second opportunity to participate in this course in October will be offered. The course is aimed at PhD students who are about halfway with their research project and want to have their work scrutinized by invited specialists (who are not their supervisors). In preparation, participants will be expected to turn in a draft of the introductory chapter of their dissertation. Hopefully, the course can take place in a real, physical class-room setting. Exact day(s) and location will be determined later, depending on the number of registrations. Those interested can register as from now.

Although this call for papers focuses on the period 1500-1800, the panel host also welcomes proposals exploring the transition between the Late Middle Ages and Early Modern Period.
