Central Asia Initiative

The Central Asia Initiative is funded by the Leiden research profile area Asian Modernities and Traditions with the purpose to establish Central Asian Studies at Leiden University.

This a platform for the study of Central Asia in its broadest sense. Key issues are cultural space, identity formation, geopolitics and heritage. New course modules on Central Asia have been developed and a series of outreach events are being organized.
