Taalcursussen en online cursussen

The Academic Language Center (ATC) is the language center of Leiden University. As the oldest university language center in the Netherlands, we offer language instruction in a wide range of languages, both for beginners and advanced students. All courses are carefully designed and focus on different language skills (speaking, writing, listening and reading), while also addressing cultural aspects. Our teachers are specialized in language teaching to higher education students. Quality of education is paramount at ATC.

À la carte education

If you are interested in an academic programme, but do you not wish to complete the entire programme? Then, you can choose one of the many à la carte courses the Faculty of Humanities offers.

Contract teaching

Contract students take one or more courses and pay an amount based on the number of credits. They are not registered as regular students at Leiden University, but as contract students at the program itself.
