HOME: Palaeolithic Shelters in East-Central Europe

The ERC-Consolidator research project HOME aims to uncover and assess a variety of Palaeolithic shelters with the goal of understanding the diverse ways in which humans lived and survived in some of the coldest, harshest climates. The results will elucidate how our ancestors adapted to past dynamic environments and expanded into new biomes, leading to our ubiquitous population of the Earth.
