Leiden Risk and Regulation Lab
About
The Leiden Risk & Regulation Lab serves as hub for excellent research at the forefront of regulation and risk governance and acts a platform for engagement with the practice of, and education in, regulation and risk governance.
The Leiden Risk & Regulation Lab spearheads cutting-edge research in regulation and risk governance and acts as a platform for engagement with national and international regulation practitioners. The Lab is currently home to ambitious, large-scale projects on regulatory and risk governance, including a 5-year ERC project on regulatory reputation and a 5-year NWO project on regulatory capture as well as the Journal on Risk, Hazards and Crisis in Public Policy.
The Leiden Risk & Regulation Lab is premised on a dual assumption: The analysis of transboundary regulation and risk governance is a fundamental requirement for successfully addressing contemporary global challenges and a crucial condition for sustainable democracies and resilient societies. By pooling together our expertise, the Lab serves as an incubator for scientific expertise on regulation and risk governance, an internationally recognized hub for research excellence in regulation and risk governance and as a point of affiliation for (inter)national practitioners.
