General information
On Tuesday 19 November, the national WO-Day will take place at VU Amsterdam as part of Economics Education Week. This afternoon is organised by and for university teaching staff, course coordinators and education directors and focuses on future-proof economics education.
The national WO-Day is a collaboration between Radboud University, Leiden University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Impact Forum and the Board of Deans for Economics and Business Administration.

The programme will be in English.
13.30 - 14.00 Doors open
14.00 - 15.30 Parallel sessions
During these parallel sessions, participants will explore a specific theme. Following several presentations about good practices (courses, programmes, teaching methods), where experiences are shared about strategy, challenges and lessons, participants will engage in discussions and exchange ideas.
The themes covered will be:
- Do's and don'ts in curriculum development
- Impact-driven education
- Multidisciplinary education
- Climate justice and inequality in the economics curriculum
15.30 - 15.45 Break
15.45 - 17.00 Plenary closing session
The plenary discussion will be led by Henri de Groot (Professor of Regional Economic Dynamics at VU Amsterdam) on the Future of Economics Education. What changes are needed in the core curriculum and how will that affect faculties?
The afternoon will close with a drinks reception from 17.00 to 17.30.
