The BSc Economics and Society addresses these and many other questions. You will learn how to use theoretical models – simplified representations of complex phenomena – to help you grasp the most pressing challenges in society.
In short, you will learn how to think like an economist. The multidisciplinary structure of the programme not only develops your economic skills, but also provides insights into how the economy truly functions. An economy in which power, political interests, and extensive regulation play a crucial role.
The programme is based in The Hague, the public policy heart of the Netherlands, providing excellent networking opportunities with not only ministries, planning bureaus, political parties and international organisations, but also the business sector.
