The Public Administration specialisation in Digitalisation, Public Administration and Society prepares you for a future where digital issues and governance are intertwined. You will learn how to translate developments like AI into concrete policies and work responsibly with technology in public administration.

New specialisation name

Starting in the fall of 2024, this specialisation will be called 'Digitalisation, Public Administration and Society,' a name that better reflects the content of the programme. During the update of our website, you may still encounter the old name, 'Digitalisation, Data and Governance.' We hope to complete the update as soon as possible and thank you for your understanding.

  • You can choose from specialisations that align with your interests and future plans: Policy, Public Administration and Organisation; Digitalisation, Public Administration and Society; or Economics, Public Administration and Management.
  • You will receive individual, intensive guidance to make the most of your studies. Due to the small scale of the programme, you will quickly get to know your fellow students, with groups and seminars limited to a maximum of 25 students, creating an informal atmosphere.
  • You will study in the administrative heart of the Netherlands, where the government manages the country and collaborates with policymakers and key societal organisations to shape national and international policy.
