Do you want to learn more about Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology and see what life is like in Leiden? Throughout the year, Leiden University offers a variety of introductory activities to help you decide which study programme is best for you.
You can join us in an Online Experience and follow lectures on the four key themes of our programme: Sustainability, Diversity, Digitalisation and Methodology. The mini-lectures and assignments are similar to what you can expect of the actual courses and lectures. In addition to the online lectures we offer you information about what it's like to study at our institute, about the student city Leiden and about the career choices of 5 of our alumni. This Online Experience will help you answering questions such as: does this bachelor's programme suit me? Does the programme meet my interests and capabilities?
During the Bachelor's Open Day you will learn more about Leiden University, our bachelor's programme, the student cities of Leiden and The Hague, student life and much more. In our 'talkshow' presentation you will get an insight in what Cultural Anthropology is, what you can do with your degree and which themes Leiden is focussing on.
At the information market you can talk to students, ask your questions to teachers and get a taste of the university atmosphere.

As a Student for a Day you will immerse yourself in a day of a first-year Cultural Anthropology student. You will follow (online or on campus) one or more first-year lectures and meet students who are enrolled in our programme. You will receive insight from current students on what it’s like to study Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology in Leiden, and get a good taste of what to expect.
