The universities of Granada and Genova are organizing an international congress on 29-30 September 2022. The purpose is to think about the saliency of place-based forms of identity in the centuries that followed the fall of the Roman Empire, and to build new theoretical and methodological frameworks that allow us to tackle the complex nature of place-based identities from historical and archaeological perspectives. Utrecht University will be hosting the 17th International Congress of Celtic Studies in July 2023. The organizing committee invites all who are interested in sharing and discussing the results of their research in any area of Celtic Studies to submit a proposal for a 20-minute paper, a 90-minute themed session, or a poster presentation, roundtable, or workshop. Deadline for submission: 15 June 2022 (themed session, roundtable or workshop) and 1 September (individual paper).

The Oxford Byzantine Graduate Seminar is designed to showcase the breadth of graduate research in modern Late Antique and Byzantine Studies and to foster academic collaboration across institutions and sub-disciplines. The Seminar takes place weekly on Mondays at 12.30-14.00 (UK time), via Zoom. The speaker will present for 40-45 minutes, followed by audience questions and discussion.
