Leiden University Centre for Digital Humanities Small Grants
The Leiden University Centre for the Digital Humanities (LUCDH) invites applications from Leiden University staff and students for funding aimed at developing Digital Humanities activities.
Funding can be used for:
a. Developing a proof of concept
The proposal can be in any field of the humanities and can engage any aspect of the digital, including research on digital media or the development of digital text or audiovisual sources and methods. These funds are intended to help the applicant develop a proof of concept that can lead to larger individual or collaborative grant proposals. Funds can be used for research assistance, equipment or software, infrastructural support, events such as planning meetings or consultations. Funds can be combined with other internal or external sources of funding. Priority will be given to new projects. The maximum amount that can be requested is 3500 Euro.
b. Personal development
This funding covers costs associated with participation in a summer school, workshop, or other training related to Digital Humanities. The maximum amount that can be requested is 1000 Euro.
In some cases the funding committee may elect to award a portion of the requested budget to promising projects in instances where the committee feels a lower level of funding is suitable.
The deadline for applications is November 30, 2018.
