Navigation Lab Leiden
The Navigation Lab Leiden is part of the department of Health, Medical and Neuropsychology at Leiden University, and led by Ineke van der Ham
We study human spatial cognition, with an emphasis on navigation ability. We examine factors that can explain for individual differences, such as gender and age. We also focus on the consequences of acquired brain injury on spatial cognition and developed tools to accurately measure and improve spatial skills.
We use innovative techniques in our studies, such as virtual reality and digital treatment tools (serious gaming). We also consider how features like spatial and temporal characteristics are experienced in the virtual world and how we can use this to our advantage in various applications.
On our website we place regular updates about our work, you can find information about us and our research.
