Metabolomics en Lipidomics

Mijn leeropdracht richt zich op translationele metabolomics en lipidomics, waarbij ik onderzoek doe naar de rol van metabolieten en lipiden in gezondheid en ziekte.

Wetenschappelijke carrière

Ik studeerde farmacie in Heidelberg en München en promoveerde december 2007 aan de LMU München (“Development of novel test systems for the analysis of enzyme inhbitors of distal cholesterol and ergosterol biosynthesis”), gevolgd door functies als postdoc en assistant professor aan de VU Amsterdam en een onderzoeksverblijf aan Harvard Medical School. Sinds 2011 werk ik aan het LUMC, waar ik sinds 2016 als associate professor en hoofd van de Metabolomics-groep de onderzoekslijn rond translationele metabolomics heb uitgebouwd en versterkt
