Larissa van den Herik is hoogleraar internationaal publiekrecht aan het Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies van de Universiteit Leiden.

Larissa van den Herik is Professor of Public International Law at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies at Leiden University.
Her areas of research and expertise include international peace and security law with a focus on terrorism and (UN) sanctions, international criminal law and particularly the law on aggression, genocide and crimes against humanity, fact-finding in international law, specifically in conflict situations, and the role of commissions of inquiry. Her current research focuses on diasporas and international law.
She is General Editor of the Cambridge Studies in International and Comparative Law and a member of the PCA National Group
