Kiki Spaninks is aangesteld als docent en onderzoeker bij het Planten Cluster van het IBL. Haar onderwijsactiviteiten bestaan uit meerdere BSc cursussen die een raakvlak hebben met Moleculaire Biotechnologie. Haar onderzoek is gericht op het transport van signaalmoleculen tussen de scheut en de wortel van de plant.
