Sinds mei 2011 bekleedt professor Kees Waaldijk de gesponsorde leerstoel Comparative Sexual Orientation Law, die gefinancierd wordt via het Betsy Brouwer Fonds bij het Leids Universiteits Fonds (LUF).
Elke zomer organiseert hij de Summer School on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in International Law.
