Dr. Erik Bähre is universitair hoofddocent aan het Instituut voor Culturele Antropologie en Ontwikkelingssociologie van de Universiteit Leiden. Erik Bähre's onderzoek gaat over hoe het dagelijks leven en persoonlijke relaties worden beïnvloed door economische verandering. Hij onderzoekt hoe economische ideologieën en financiële instellingen persoonlijke relaties veranderen, in het bijzonder verwantschap. Erik Bähre is gespecialiseerd in economische antropologie.
