Academic Prepartion program has been designed to give special attention to academic English skills and the Dutch learning and teaching methods through participating, sharing and simulation sessions by Dutch and English native lecturers from ETC partner Universities. A total of 30 hours of intensive sessions spread over five days, taught in English, forms the basis for a strong understanding of the Dutch Educations enviroment.

Leiden University and Ristek Dikti have set up a joint scholarship program for PhD degrees. Eligible candidates who wish to take their PhD at Leiden University are invited to register with RistekDikti before April 30, 2019. Candidates need to fulfill the requirements as set by RistekDikti and by Leiden University. Candidates need to obtain a letter of acceptance from Leiden before registering to RistekDikti.

Wija Wijayanto and Arum Perwitasari both were Indonesian PhD students at Leiden University, funded by the Leiden-DIKTI Graduate Scholarship Programme. With the help of this scholarship, literally thousands of students travel abroad to write their dissertations. During their research period, Arum and Wija got to discover what it is like to live in Leiden. Here they are, sharing their personal experiences.
