Join the Young Academy Leiden for a book club on The Slow Professor: Challenging the Culture of Speed in the Academy (Berg & Seeber, 2016). This short book explains why academia feels so frantic, and presents ways of alleviating stress while improving teaching, research, and collegiality. A must-read for anyone in academia concerned about the frantic pace of contemporary university life.
