Yuran Shi is an external Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Air and Space Law, Leiden University. Title research: Labour protection for airline workers: a comparative analysis of the regimes in the EU States, the US and China.

Yuran studied Air and Space Law (Advanced LL.M.) at Leiden University. Prior to his Advanced LL.M., he did a Master in Civil Law and a Bachelor of Laws at China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), during which he passed the Bar Examination of China.
Yuran now focuses on his PhD research project: Labour Protection for Airline Pilots. This study aims to answer the question of what the legal framework for labour protection for airline pilots should be. The research would be conducted through a comparative study of on the regulatory framework and challenges relating to aviation labour law in the EU, the US and China.
