Thijs Vos is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Political Science.
Thijs Vos is a researcher and PhD candidate at the Institute of Political Science. His PhD under the supervision of Dr. Simon Otjes and Prof. Dr. Joop van Holsteyn focusses on legislative behaviour in Dutch municipal councils, in particular on the use legislative instruments (motions, amendments, questions) and voting behaviour of councilors on proposals. In the context of his research he works on making data from council information systems available for scientific research.
Vos completed the bachelor programmes Political Science (2019) and History (2018) and the master programme Political Science: Parties, Parliaments and Democracy (2021) at the University of Leiden.
