Qijia Cong is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Education and Child Studies of Leiden University. Her research focuses on the long-term effect of childhood adversity on problematic online behaviors.

Qijia Cong obtained her MEd in Applied Psychology at Nankai University, China in 2021. In September of the same year, she began to work as a PhD candidate at the Forensic Family and Youth Care Studies program group at Leiden University.

Qijia Cong concerns how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) influence problematic online behaviors in a long run. She is currently involved in a longitudinal study project which focuses on the relationship between ACEs and problematic online behaviors among Chinese adolescents (sponsored by CSC scholarship).
